1. Google Docs™ Content:
   • We read your active Google Document’s text (resume) solely to provide optimization and analysis features.
   • No resume content is permanently stored outside your document.
2. User Email:
   • We securely store your Google Account email (once) to help us understand usage maintain service reliability and improve our service.
   • This email is stored in a protected maner, accessible only by our add-on’s secure service account.
3. Job Description (Optional):
   • If you provide a job description, we process it only in-memory to tailor the resume improvements. We do not store job descriptions.
4. Google Workspace APIs:
   • We use Google Apps Script and Docs API to read/write text in your document.

• We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.
• We send portions of your resume content to Gemini AI (Google’s generative language API) only to generate suggestions or ATS analysis.

  • No personal details beyond the text you explicitly submit are shared.
• Your email address is stored in a secure, restricted-access database to track usage. It is never sold or shared externally.

• Email Storage: We use a Google-managed service account to write your email address to our secure database. Only our add-on can access or modify this record.
• Resume Content: We do not store your resume text. All processing happens in-memory or within your Google Doc.
• Data Protection: We rely on Google Cloud’s robust security infrastructure to safeguard your data.
• Retention: Your email remains in our database unless you request removal (see Section 6). No other user data is persistently stored.

6. User Control & Opt-Out

• Opt-Out of Email Logging:
  If you would like your email removed from our records, simply contact us. We will promptly delete it from our database.
• Stop Using the Add-on:
  You can uninstall AI Resume Optimizer at any time from Google Docs™ to discontinue data collection.
